YouStake.com is a completely integrated sports staking platform that permits the loads to take a position in skilled sports players for entry in live events. The corporate recently made headlines when it acquired the poker staking platform TastyStakes.com.
This week, nobody showed off sustained success and proficiency in quite a few games greater than John Monnette, making his the YouStake Performance of the Week.
The two-time WSOP bracelet winner from Palmdale, California made runner up within the 2016 WSOP $1500 2-7 Draw Lowball (No-Limit), notched his 42nd and 43rd lifetime cash on the WSOP, and, at press time Friday, was engaged on his 44th, deep within the $10,000 Dealers Choice 6-Handed Championship with just eight players remaining.
No matter where he finishes, Monnette's run within the Dealers Choice should put him in early contention for the worldwide Poker Index WSOP Player of the Year, and because he plays such a lot of different games, he's always a threat to win it.
A high-stakes mixed cash legend and consistent force on the WSOP in every poker variant, Monnette has long been nicknamed "Angry John" way to a somewhat argumentative demeanor he often displays at the felt, especially on the subject of issues surrounding tournament structure and the principles of the game.
However, "Angry John" may well be found with an extraordinary smile on his face a lot of times this week, as he enjoyed several deep runs.
Monnette is about to marry longtime poker media member Diana Cox once the WSOP is through, and her influence will have softened him a little.
Regardless, his game appears as sharp as ever, and because of his quick start on the 2016 WSOP, Monnette will take the YouStake Performance of the Week honors, this time around.
Keep it locked on PokerNews to follow Monnette's progress, and the remainder of the action on the 2016 WSOP, plus, make sure you take a look at our friends at YouStake.com.
