In December 2011, PokerStars obtained a license from the Maltese Lotteries and Gaming Authority. In December 2012, Full Tilt also obtained a license from Malta. Since each of these dates, we have increasingly provided gaming services to players in more European countries from our base in Malta, with a view to ensuring that all EU countries will be served by PokerStars and Full Tilt under a license from within the EU - either one issued by their home country (such as those issued in France, Spain or the UK) or a license issued in Malta.

At the beginning of this month, there were a few remaining countries in the European Union where we offered services under our Isle of Man (.COM) license. During the month of February 2015, we will move player accounts with registered addresses in these few remaining countries to start receiving our gaming services under our Maltese license.

If you're registered in a country that's making the move to the .EU license you will be prompted to migrate your account. This will happen automatically and will be a quick and painless process. You'll be prompted to download the .EU client and accept the appropriate End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy when you load up PokerStars or Full Tilt software. It's very straightforward.

Player account balances will not be affected: they will move across seamlessly. You will be able to login and continue playing the same games as before, against the same players as before, and with the same software features as before. Beyond having to go through the quick process described above, we expect that this change will not cause much impact on you.

PokerStars and Full Tilt continue to protect player account balances under the same high standards of player fund protection and provide the same high level of customer support and responsible gaming features across both licenses, while continuing to invest in protecting game integrity.

Players who are temporarily visiting one of the affected countries will not be affected by this change.
