SolarViper solar-powered LED light—SEPCO

102914 SEPCO 300Solar-powered, pole-mounted LED area, parking lot, roadway and walkway lights. Units provide crisp white, ultra long-lasting light precisely where needed at motorist and pedestrian levels, without dependence on any electrical-utility grid system. SEPCO SolarViper is 100% solar powered in any respect times, “off the grid,” self-storing and self-recharging.

Product Design: SEPCO, the Solar Electric Power Company, In-House Solar-Lighting Product Development and Engineering Team.

Manufacturer: SEPCO, founded 1994, is a U.S. entrepreneurial family-owned manufacturer exclusively of luminaires, solar lighting and solar-power systems for “off grid” outdoor lighting.

Product Applications: One SEPCO™ much lower-watt SolarViper replaces as much as 1000-watt metal halide or high-pressure sodium lights; any multi-unit linear fluorescents or CFLs within the same outdoor area, parking, road or walkway applications; whether easy retrofit or new installation.

SEPCO SolarViper consumes as low as 10 as much as 425 off-grid solar- power watts, with no less than five nights autonomy from stored power. SEPCO solar-power assemblies are integral to the sunshine and pole, sized in keeping with customer requirements, installation location or site conditions.

SEPCO™ SolarViper comes in four light distribution patterns and five mounting options. Each model and its wattage saves 100% of grid-based electrical energy, lowers maintenance costs, and lasts for many years. SolarViper qualifies for LEED points on projects. It exemplifies essentially the most energy-efficient, most cost-efficient, longest-lasting, lowest maintenance contemporary outdoor lighting design available anywhere today.

SEPCO SolarViper places direct-downward, high color-rendition light along public or private areas of any kind: primary, secondary or tertiary roads; pedestrian walkways; public/private parking lots or curbsides; throughout cityscapes, suburban, semi-rural — even rural — applications. SolarViper is Dark-Sky™ compliant, low-glare; minimizes light trespass, spillover or wasted light.

Product Description:  SEPCO™ SolarViper has a slender, curved wedge-shaped, aerodynamic light head that easily complements newer or older site areas, structural architecture, all roadways and walkways.

Integral sloped, flow-through vertical cooling fins at the underside of light-head surfaces retard sediment or moisture buildup. Less heat gets trapped within SEPCO™ SolarViper luminaires, significantly reducing junction temperatures, maximizing LED light output with 100,000 hours rated lamp and electrical component life. Critical LED components remain cool as a result of lighthead and LED lightsource design; no grates, screens or other debris-control devices are needed.

Compact solar-panel assemblies for SEPCO™ SolarViper are selected and programed by SEPCO™ in-house solar-lighting engineers to recharge concealed storage-battery assemblies, customizing SolarViper illumination to location and use.

Many SEPCO SolarViper light-pole options are available accordance with power-assembly size, wind-load requirements, and with direct burial, anchor- or transformer-base options. Poles available in aluminum, composite fiberglass or galvanized steel.

Light arrays range from twenty-two to thirty LEDs, with individual wattages, starting from 15 to 70, in square or rectangular patterns on thermally-efficient metal-clad circuit boards. SEPCO™ SolarViper has no additional at-installation ventilation requirements. IESNA Type II, III, IV, V and other light-distribution patterns available. For ocean shore areas, SEPCO™ turtle-friendly lighting could also be available.

Individual LED dimming drivers are sealed to IP66 or IP67 standards. They're located at the within a removable screw-fastened swing-down door, providing access to drivers and to a time-saving push-button terminal block. A field-rotatable, twist-lock photo-control receptacle is non-compulsory to be used with standard or “smart” light-control devices. SEPCO SolarViper is CSA certified for wet locations, employs UL recognized components, and is made within the USA.

Construction and Finishes: SEPCO SolarViper housings and doors are precision-tooled die-cast aluminum. Polyester powder-coated finishes are standard for all of the SEPCO lighting system.
