Italian Poker Tour shakes up schedule

PokerStars.it today announced several exciting developments for the rest stops on Season 6 of the tour. Following feedback from players, the IPT Main Event becomes a €1,100 freezeout with two start days - in place of an €770 accumulator event with three start days. This may increasingly bring the IPT consistent with PokerStars' other highly successful national tours in Europe, corresponding to the Estrellas Poker Tour in Spain and the France Poker Series.

The "Mini IPT" event may even now be incorporated in to the principle festival schedule as opposed to happening beforehand and can be a €300 + €30 Single Re-entry tournament with three start days. The schedule for IPT Saint Vincent have been designed to guantee that all players to compete in both the primary Event and the Mini concurrently.

Another exciting addition to the IPT schedule would be the €500 + €50 "Weekend Warrior" tourney. This may occasionally be a semi-turbo event (15,000 starting stack and 30 minute levels) and have been created to offer recreational players a singular chance to compete at an incredible poker event with no need to take time without work work.

In July, the IPT might be heading back to beautiful Saint Vincent within the Italian Alps with a five-day festival running July 24 - 28. This may increasingly be followed by a late summer return to Sanremo, from September 4-8. The general two stops - including the IPT Season 6 Grand Final - could be announced later within the tour.

At IPT Saint Vincent, Day 1 of the Weekend Warrior event will start at 2pm on Saturday (July 26) and finish at 8.30pm that evening - ensuring that players and their friends or family can enjoy a peaceful evening within the beautiful Alpine resort.

The festival may even include a €2k IPT High Roller, a €200 Sunday Superstack and a €1k NL Turbo event on Monday, July 28, the general day of the festival. The entire schedule of the festival is accessible at the IPT website.

January's festival in Nova Gorica in Slovenia attracted 1,241 entries and at Saint Vincent in February, there have been nearly 1,800 entries. Here in Sanremo, the IPT was the debut event of the EPT10 Sanremo Poker Festival and attracted a record Main Event 1,124 entries and was won on Monday (April 14) by Italian online pro Alessandro de Fenza for €105,600.

The final table of all Main Events can be streamed cards up on http://www.PokerStars.it/diretta and at the new interactive Facebook social tab with Italian commentary.
