Amaya Gaming has announced that it's to make a sequence of changes to the VIP programme for its PokerStars brand.
In an email to customers, Amaya said a brand new rewards programme may be launched someday next year, with the updated system to hide all PokerStars products, including the BetStars sportsbook.
All players will move to the programme, although customers may not be required to play any specific product to accumulate certain rewards.
“You won’t be required to play on any specific product, but your activity on all products may also help you move for your route to earning rewards,” Amaya said within the email.
In addition, VIP statuses are to be discontinued upon launch of the brand new programme and replaced with a brand new programme that rewards recent activity, meaning that programmes comparable to Supernova will change from a year-long system to a monthly status.
“From January 1, Supernova might be a monthly status for players who achieve it in 2017, while players who earn Supernova status in 2016 will retain it until the launch of the brand new rewards programme,” Amaya said.
