WSOP 2016: No fifth bracelet (yet) but Mercier making it look easyNO Deposit bonus $43

The latest chapter of Jason Mercier's World Series summer closed last night, not with a fifth bracelet win as he might need hoped, however the closest thing to it.

Mercier finished second within the $10,000 Razz Championship last night, narrowly beaten to a second bracelet in three days by Ray Dehkharghani, who also picked up the $273,338 first prize.

For his part Mercier earned $168,936, but it surely would has been another bracelet that he was most keen to secure, following on from his success within the 2-7 Lowball Championship earlier this week.

That said, the Series isn't even on the half way point and Mercier is unlikely to be done. He features prominently within the $10,000 HORSE, currently 17th in chips on the end of the primary day with 66 players remaining.

At some point in this World series Jason Mercier is probably not the PokerStars story of the summer, but at the moment that does not seem like happening any time soon.
