The 2004 World Series of Poker main event runner-up can be a contestant at the latest season of “MasterChef”, he said this week on his Twitter account.
Poker pro David Williams might be among 40 competitors within the season premier June 1 on FOX, with a view to air at 8 p.m. EST. Williams, who has roughly $8.5 million in lifetime tournament earnings, might be competing for the $250,000 grand prize and a cookbook deal.
Williams, who lives in Las Vegas, won a WSOP bracelet in 2006. He’s one in all six Las Vegans to be at the seventh season of MasterChef, in step with the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Williams follows a protracted list of poker pros who've appeared on reality TV shows. Before Williams, the most recent was Anna Khait, who appeared at the newest season of Survivor.
