Nevada’s 71 poker rooms collectively raked slightly below $9.7 million through the month of March, in step with the state Gaming Control Board.
That was 0.01 percent lower than March 2015.
There were 655 tables statewide in this past March, in step with the state. That was 11 fewer than March 2015.
The Las Vegas Strip area had 21 of the poker rooms and 305 of the tables this March. Those rooms collectively raked $6.17 million. The Strip poker revenue was up 0.8 percent year-over-year.
The March performance follows February’s roughly 5.5-percent gain in comparison to February 2015. Poker revenue fell 2.85 percent in January.
Silver State card rooms raked slightly over $118 million in 2015, which was a 1.57-percent decline in comparison to 2014’s $119.9 million. Poker revenue was $123.9 million in 2013. The best-ever high for Nevada poker was slightly below $168 million in 2007. Since that year, revenue has fallen year-over-year in all but 12 months. Calendar year 2013 had a 0.56-percent uptick in comparison to 2012.
