9:20pm: It is all overLevel 12: Blinds 1,000-2,000, 300 ante

The klaxon has sounded on Day 1B and that is the reason all she wrote. A wrap of the day's play is at the way. --NW

9:10pm: Threeis the magic numberLevel 12: Blinds 1,000-2,000, 300 ante

Three more hands to move before play is finished for the day. --NW

9pm: More schillings for Stefan SchillhabelLevel 12: Blinds 1,000-2,000, 300 ante

Stefan Schillhabel has soared as much as 355,000 after he eliminated Jaroslav Miklikin a chilly battle of the blinds.

The latter raised from the small blind and called when the previous three-bet him. The flop fell K♦A♦T♣ and Miklik check-called 6,700. The turn was the K♣ and Miklik check-raised all in for around 50,000 after Schillhabel had fired another 18,500. Snap call.

Schillhabel: A♥A♠ for a whole houseMiklik: K♠9♥ for turned trips.

The board completed with the 8♠ and Miklik went off into the night. -- MC

8:48pm: Big names falling lateLevel 12: Blinds 1,000-2,000, 300 ante

No Day 2 for: Corey Gill, David Vamplew, Alex Lindop, Tom Hall, Dominik Panka, Mick Graydon, Jasper Wetemans, George McKeever, Gavin O'Rourke, Thomas Dunwoodie, Neil Rawnsley, Anton Wigg, Ondrej Vinklarek, Jan Bendik, Otto Richard, Yorane Kerignard, and Diego Gomez. -- MC

8:30pm: Edward avoids the Tomb; Ferrero has monster stackLevel 11: Blinds 800-1,600, 200 ante

The old aces versus kings arrange is rarely a pleasant way, especially once you have got a start in a tournament, to lose most of your stack.

Tom Kitt opened to 3,000 before Casey Kastle three-bet to 9,000. Padraic Cusack was within the small blind and installed a four-bet to 19,500 before Edward Tomb quickly five-bet all in for 71,200. Kitt and chateau folded but Cusack snap called.

Tomb: A♥A♠Cusack: K♣K♥

The board ran a blank 5♦Q♦9♦3♥8♣.

Also sat at this Olivier Ferrero who has amassed 421,000! Yep, you read that right. Apparently he's been hitting set over sets for fun. -- MC

8:20pm: Two outLevel 11: Blinds 800-1,600, 200 ante

Two short stacks tried to get rich, but died trying.

First to chance his arm was Franck Lini. The Frenchman was heads-up to a T♣K♥Q♠ flop against John Bagnal. He bet 7,000 and Bagnal smooth called.

On the 8♦ turn Lini moved all-in for 26,200 and once you have a count of the shove, Bagnal called.

Lini: A♣K♦Bagnal: Q♦T♥

Bagnal asked for a deuce and he got his wish at the 2♠ river. -

A short time later Cormac O'Higgins was in peril for his last 17,000 with A♣8♦ and in front of Cornelis Van Gent's K♣J♠.

The Q♥T♠A♦ flop soon reversed the order of items though and neither the 2♦ turn or 6♦ river could save O'Higgins. -NW

8:10pm: You wish to have money? We got moneyLevel 11: Blinds 800-1,600, 200 ante

Unfortunately the money we now have won't go around everyone, so we are going to choose our favorite 151 players and rank them so as. Okay, we aren't allowed to do that, this money (not ours either) needed to be earned by the most productive of you. Prize pool information is in!

The 1002 entries helped create a prize pool of €971,940, with the highest 151 getting paid. A min cash will earn you €1,710 and should you make Monday's final eight, then that figure could have jumped to €16,840. The winner? She or he will earn a tidy €176,900. -- MC

7:25pm: Gone but not forgottenLevel 10: Blinds 600-1,200, 200 ante

It's goodbye and farewell to plenty of giant name players: Seth Webber, Paul Delaney, Tamer Kamel, Thiago Nishijima, Deborah Worley-Roberts, Diogo Veiga, Fergal Nealon, Max Silver, Conor Beresford, Asif Warris, Luciano Manolea, Tomasz Raniszewski, Jamie O'Connor, Tobias Peters, Ludovic Geilich, Eugene Katchalov, Daniel Charlton, Thomas Butzhammer and Kyle Frey.

We suspect lots of them can be back for the UKIPT High Roller tomorrow. --NW

7:10pm: Akenhead misses, somehowLevel 10: Blinds 600-1,200, 200 ante

Poor Alexandre Rivero, he got his stack of 12,600 in against James Akenhead in a race situation, however the board kept on getting increasingly worse for the Brazilian.

He'd shoved with 2♠2♥ and Akenhead - who had about 170,000 at this point - isolated from the small blind with A♣8♥.

The 9♣4♣K♣ flop gave Akenhead flush outs, the 9♥ turn spread out the potential of the counterfeit knock out however the 5♦ river was one in every of Rivero's clean cards and he doubled up. --NW

Team PokerStars Pro Eugene Katchalov was very short but now finds himself just short.

The action folded around to Katchalov at the button and he moved all in for 3,600. David Vida was within the big blind and called with 9♣2♦. Katchalov opened J♣9♠ and survived a 5♣5♦5♠6♣A♣. -- MC

5:35pm: Firm triangleLevel 9: Blinds 500-1,000, 100 ante

Poker's Firm members Daragh Davey, Dara O'Kearney and Padraig O'Neill (still a member?) are sat in a triangle formation after the latter was moved to the correct of the previous. Apparently triangles are probably the most stable of shapes, too!

O'Kearney's sat right behind them and won a pot upon getting Matti Salminenna to fold at the river.

"Doke" raised to 2,000 from middle position and was called by Salminenna within the next seat, at the side of the massive blind. The flop fanned 6♥8♠K♥ and Doke's 3,500 c-bet was only called by Salminenna. Both checked the 2♠ before a 6,000 bet at the 6♦ river got the job done. -- MC

We're right down to 550 players now and that implies all of the players who're still in are actually playing by and large room. Quite a lot of big names have fallen by the wayside over the past couple of levels. They include: Andrew Sweeney, Per Linde, Jeremy Nock, Jimmy Kebe, Timothy Chung, Jonas Lauck, David Abreu, Pablo Gordillo, Andrew Hulme, Jonathon Prested, Fintan Gavin, Felix Stephensen, Steven Warburton, Carl Harris, Matthias De Meulder, Anton Bertilsson, Ben Jenkins, Kevin MacPhee and Kelly Saxby. -NW

4:55pm: Chantler played aces like a bossLevel 8: Blinds 400-800, 100 anteGareth Chantler needed something to happen together with his micro stack. He did and it enabled him to greater than triple up.

Jeremy Mortimore opened to 1,800 from under the gun before Chantler moved all in for 2,400 from the hijack. UKIPT Cork champion Thomas Finneran was yet one more seat long and sat behind a 135,000 stack - he took his time and called as did Mortimore.

The board ran out T♠7♥5♥3♦6♠ with both opponents checking all of the way. Mortimore's A♣J♠ and Finneran's Q♣J♥ were no match for Chantler's A♠A♥.

"Nice hand," said Mortimore.

"I didn't understand how to play it," said an excessively deadpan Chantler and it caused a ripple of laughter across the table. -- MC

4:40pm: You recognize you're in Ireland when

4:25pm: Sisters looking to do it by themselvesLevel 8: Blinds 400-800, 100 ante

Kerryjane Craigie runs an overly tight ship, as Head of Poker at Hippodrome Casino and it kind of feels she runs an excellent tighter one here on the RDS in Dublin.

She bumped into our photographer and recounted an enchanting situation she found herself in when within the ladies' toilet on break.

UKIPT5 Dublin Day1B KerryCraigle.jpg

Ladies' bathrooms are sacred at poker events

She was standing in there when four guys walked into the inaccurate bathroom. When she told them to get out, the answer she was given was, "We're French!"

This obviously didn't cut the mustard with Craigie so she protested and so they added, "HAVE YOU EVER never been in a men's bathroom?"

"NO!!" ended that conversation. -- MC
