This week’s focus is going to be Draftpot cash game lineup construction. Digging through the salaries thoroughly and spotting all of the top plays in terms of value and amongst the top options is critical when building lineups designed for cash games. The goal here is to highlight one of the top options at each position and one of the best values at each position.
As always, we’re using Draftpot Points Per Game (DPPG) since that is the measure of player value on Draftpot.

QB
Ben Roethlisberger (20.68 DPPG) – Big Ben is humming right along this season, piling up yards and touchdowns while throwing to the best receiver duo in the league in my opinion. This week he gets a plum matchup with a Baltimore team that’s been getting lit up by opposing passing attacks.
Blake Bortles (19.29 DPPG) – Blake Bortles is the quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jacksonville Jaguars are playing against the New Orleans Saints this week. That means that Blake Bortles is a good play in fantasy football this week. That’s a bit simplistic, but it’s true.
RB
David Johnson (13.23 DPPG) – Well, that was fast. A couple weeks ago, David Johnson was the can’t miss value play. This week, I’m recommending him as the can’t miss stud play. The rookie is having a stellar season that was masked by a lack of work, until recently. He’s been unleashed and within this Arizona offense, he’s a beast.
Denard Robinson (7.36 DPPG) – ‘Shoelace’ played 100 percent of the snaps for the Jaguars last week. He struggled running the ball, but he did pile up 8 receptions to salvage his fantasy day. With T.J. Yeldon all but certain to sit this week out, Robinson is in line for another busy day in a great matchup with the Saints.
WR
Antonio Brown (21.94 DPPG) – Brown is essentially a glitch in the PPR matrix. He’s got the highest floor of any wide receiver. He’s got as much upside as anyone. Really, he should be priced differently than other receivers and he’s not, so DFS players should be using him without hesitation.
Martavis Bryant (13.85 DPPG) – Another week, another Steelers stack in cash games. The Steelers have an implied projected team total of over 28 points. The Ravens defend the run well. Those points will more than likely be coming at the hands of Roethlisberger and these two receivers. Take advantage of this cheap exposure to the Steelers by using Bryant as well as Brown.
TE
Rob Gronkowski (18.48 DPPG) – Was there ever a doubt that this would be who to look to for a stud tight end? There just isn’t anything left to say about Gronkowski. He’s a historically great player at a position where it’s very difficult to get reliable production in fantasy football. If you can find a way to get him in your lineup surrounded by players you’re comfortable with, you do it.
Julius Thomas (10.14 DPPG) – While Gronk is a great luxury item to have in your Draftpot lineups, Orange Julius is the likely alternative if you can’t afford Gronkowski. Thomas has scored four touchdowns in his last five games and put together a 6-79 line in the game he didn’t score. This week, he faces the hapless Saints tight end defense in what should be a cupcake matchup for him.
