Bet365 accused of misleading Australian punters



bet 365 logoiGaming Business – The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has launched court action against Bet365 after accusing the web gambling operator of misleading customers with various offers.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, the watchdog said that Bet365 didn't properly display the terms and prerequisites attached to offers of free bets and deposit bonuses.

The ACCC said that during order to be eligible for the offers, customers had to risk their deposit, gamble large amounts and bet on high-risk transactions.

Prosecutors will now target three local firms associated with Bet365, the report said.
