New Jersey Poker Rooms Rake $4.5 Million In AugustNO Deposit bonus $43

Brick-and-mortar and online poker rooms within the state of recent Jersey raked roughly $4.5 million from players during August, consistent with figures released Thursday by Garden State gaming regulators.

About $2.35 million came from live poker, while $2.17 million came from Internet poker. The $4.52 million was down from July’s $5 million in overall rake.

It was also lower than the roughly $4.6 million raked in August 2015, when $2.62 million came from live poker and $1.98 million came from online, in keeping with state figures.

There were 217 live poker tables in August 2016, spread between six of Atlantic City’s eight casinos. Only Borgata, Caesars and Resorts offer peer-to-peer online poker.

The Trump Taj Mahal, which re-opened its poker site this year, is ready to near in October. That casino raked approximately $80,000 from live poker in August.

For comparison to other East Coast poker markets: Pennsylvania casinos rake about $5 million a month, while Maryland poker rooms soak up about $3 million monthly.
