Ben Roethlisberger was solid, but Doug Martin, Martavis Bryant and Rob Gronkowski left you out in the cold if you used them. This week, I’m going to switch it up a bit and look for the best values in the GM Mode game on Draftpot. Use these to try to best the field in their $30,000 Spike tournament.

Tom Brady (22.17 DPPG) – Sometimes, the best value doesn’t necessarily mean the player is cheap. While other positions on Draftpot will offer some serious values, quarterback is roughly fair in terms of pricing. That means that we have to look for value in other terms. Enter Tom Brady. Brady’s value is tied to his unreal consistency and to the overall quality of the Patriots offense. With a team total of over 31 points this week, the Patriots are projected to be the highest scoring offense of week 10. Brady has been this season’s best fantasy quarterback. These factors highlight the safety of Brady. And at quarterback in DFS, safety equals value.

Todd Gurley (14.03 DPPG) – The simple fact of the matter is, Gurley should be the highest price of any running back this week. So on Draftpot where the pricing is different, we must take advantage of the fact that he’s not. Everyone knows that Gurley has been absolutely spectacular over the last month and change of the season, so there’s no need for me to go on about that. What I will say is, there’s no need to get cute in DFS sometimes. When you see a value like this, you just play the man and move on.

Davante Adams (4.79 DPPG) – When inserting a cheap player into your DFS lineup, sometimes volume alone can overcome any negatives. While I was high on Adams coming into the season, I’ve not seen anything to convince me he’s a very good NFL receiver. I also don’t think his matchup with Darius Slay this week is all that good for him. What I do know, though, is that last week he played 97 percent of the snaps for the Packers and saw 11 targets. When a player is cheap and sees that kind of volume in an Aaron Rodgers offense, he becomes an intriguing DFS play regardless of any holes you could poke in his case.

Jordan Reed (10.39 DPPG) – Reed has slowly developed into one of my favorite players in fantasy football. There’s no messing around when he’s on the field. If he’s running routes, he’s getting the ball thrown his way. Period. Last week, Reed really struggled throughout the game but saw 7 targets and managed a late touchdown to salvage his day. That just highlighted another reason I love Reed. He’s a target monster once the Redskins get in close. Per Pro Football Reference, Reed is seeing over 30 percent of the Redskins targets inside the ten-yard line on the season. With a cheap price, the best or second best matchup a tight end can have, a heavy target volume and lots of red zone usage, Reed has a ton going for him this week.
