From July 24-31, PokerStars NJ hosted a 10-event series dubbed the NJ City Tour with each event named after a city within the Garden State. Not surprisingly, the largest event at the schedule and of the weekend, the $400 NJ City Main Event, was tagged with the state's gaming hub, Atlantic City.
New Jersey's "Bortzork" outlasted a field of 217 entrants to ship the NJ City Tour Main Event to assemble an outstanding $16,641. Notable players at the final table included Jamie "moosedeer17" Reyes (second - $12,206), Angel "Chr0meKing" Lopez (fourth - $6,917), and Michael "DellaBarca7" Dellabarca (sixth - $3,992).
Dellabarca had a bigger haul on WSOP.com NJ and 888poker NJ when under the screenname "mdb77" he shipped the late-night $10,000 Fierce Warrior for $4,357.
Also on PokerStars NJ, "MrA.Iverson3" banked $9,382 ($4,256 prize pool + $5,126 in bounties) after claiming an outright win within the NJ City Tour 9 - Newark: $200 NL Hold'em [Progressive SuperKO, 6-max], $25,000 Gtd. Two former #1. ranked New Jersey tournament players in keeping with PocketFives.com in Keith "donnysack" Donovan (third - $2,674) and Jeremy "FunkyJesus" Danger (fifth - $1,645) also appeared at the final table.
Both Donovan and Danger went directly to appear on final tables in other major tournaments on Sunday. Speaking of the $50,000 Without equal Warrior, again it produced an enormous winner when "imsayin1" shipped the tournament for $14,535. Just missing out at the victory, but additionally reaping in nice cashes wereFred "BiggDaddy" Farrell (second - $8,479), Michael "SnakePlisken" Bees (third - $4,845), Michael "myGAME" Lavenburg (fifth - $3,230), Hung "welcomedonk" Truong (sixth - $2,692), and Jason "LuckDuck" Lawhun (eighth - $1,292).
Lavenburg added to a different special day on his poker resume with a 3rd place finish worth $4,484 under the screenname "pay4medsch00l" within the partypoker NJBorgataPoker.com Sunday $40k Championship Bonus, a tournament won by "FRIELnGood" for $9,440.
Other well-known players to make an appearance at the final table included Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja (2nd - $6,216), Carlo "carlo44" Caponetta (eighth - $1,746), and Steven "stevenmadara" Madara (ninth - $1,274).
Meanwhile, many well-known players scored big within the WSOP NJ/888poker NJ $30,000 The massive Deal. Bob "SLHalper" Taylor navigated in the course of the star-studded final table to win the highest prize of $13,975.
