The third stop of LAPT Season 8 will be held at the Sortis Hotel Spa & Casino in Panama City, Panama, from May 8 to May 12, PokerStars, an Amaya Inc. (TSX: AYA) company, announced today.
The event will be held at the highly regarded Sortis Hotel, which is just five minutes from the previously announced venue, the Veneto Hotel and Casino. The Sortis Hotel includes one of the the largest Casinos in Panama City, and will ensure that the LAPT event has plenty of space to accommodate the increased popularity of the LAPT.
"We expect players to be excited by the ability to play at the Sortis Hotel which has more space and will offer players an outstanding, high-quality, experience," said David Carrion, President of the Latin American Poker Tour. "The LAPT and Sortis Hotel are going to work hard to give players a great time in Panama."
Players who have already won a satellite which included hotel accommodation on PokerStars will have their reservation automatically transferred to the Sortis Hotel. Players who have made their own hotel bookings will need to make their own arrangements, but given the very short distance between the two venues it is unlikely to cause much inconvenience to players.
