1:30am: Dominico Gala eliminated in ninth place (€9,920)Level 27 Blinds 30,000/60,000 (10,000 ante)

The final table is set!

Pre-flop Dominico Gala opened to 130,000 at the button and Ivan Luca called from the massive blind. At the 9♠T♣T♥ flop Gala c-bet 110,000, Luca check-raised 300,000 total and Gala smooth called fairly quickly.

At the 3♠ turn Luca bet 535,000 and Gala called. The pot was now 2,050,000 and Gala had just 1,000,000 back. On the 9♣ river Luca moved all-in and Gala tanked for seven minutes before eventually calling.

Luca: T♠7♣Gala: Q♣Q♥

Gala couldn't break out from the overpair and Luca won a tremendous pot and can start tomorrow's final table because the chip leader.

Gala - gone in ninth

1:10am: No person desires to be the photo bubbleLevel 26 Blinds 25,000/50,000 (5,000 ante)

Whilst there's over €2,600 between the 9th and 8th place payouts there's also the problem of missing out at the final table photograph!

It's been fairly cagey stuff thus far on the unofficial final table. David Urban and Dominico Gala was probably the most active players. Perhaps essentially the most interesting thing to happen is the commentators digging out Gala for ordering a drink and never tipping.

"You've won a minimum of €9,920 you'll want to a minimum of tip," they said.

0:50am: Gala takes some from UrbanLevel 26 Blinds 25,000/50,000 (5,000 ante)

David Urban and Dominico Gala reached the river of a Q♣5♣K♦3♥T♠ board and concrete bet 345,000 - almost a pot sized bet. Gala went into the tank after which called with A♦T♣. Urban mucked his hand, he slips to 1,685,000 whilst Gala is as much as 2,485,000.

The unofficial final table is set!

David Urban opened to 110,000 at the button after which called when Andres Viola moved all-in for 595,000 from the massive blind.

Urban: A♦T♠Viola: A♣9♠

The K♣Q♠J♥ flop meant Urban flopped broadway and the K♥ turn and Q♠ river kept him in front.

They'll now be a brief delay whilst they do a redraw of the general nine.

Andres Viola

0:03am: Andres Viola doubles through Mick HederLevel 26 Blinds 25,000/50,000 (5,000 ante)

After loisng a pot to David Urban to slide to 295,000 Andres Viola moved all-in from the small blind with A♠A♥ and Mick Heder called from the large blind with A♦5♦. The board ran T♦T♥8♥T♠9♠ and Viola got his double up. He's as much as 650,000, Heder drops to 1,500,000 and concrete has 1,400,000

11:45pm: Rene Kodlin eliminated in 11th Place (€8,070)Level 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)

Down to 10!

The exit happened at the feature table with Hannes Speiser opening to 85,000 after which calling Rene Kodlin's shove of 410,000.

Kodlin: K♦T♥Speiser: K♥Q♣

A 7♥4♠2♠4♦J♦ board meant Speiser's handheld to spice up him to 1,350,000 whilst Kodlin collected €8,070 for his efforts this week.

With yet another exit we'll be right down to the unofficial final table of nine.

11:30pm: Peter Siemund doubles through Robert KokoskaLevel 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)

Big hands, big pot and never an exaggerated tank in sight. Great poker!

Peter Siemund opened to 85,000 from the cutoff, Robert Kokoska three-bet to 205,000 from the small blind, Siemund moved all-in, Kokoska asked for a count (about a million) after which called. This took about 30 seconds total.

Siemund: A♠K♣Kokoska: A♦Q♠

A 4♠J♥3♣6♣K♦ board doubled Siemund to about 2,300,000 (he was all-in for 1,145,000) and saw Kokoska drop to 580,000.

11:25pm: Martin Ilavksy eliminated in 12th place (€6,950)Level 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)

Down to only 200,000 Martin Ilavsky moved all-in from the small blind with J♦7♣ and Ivan Luca snapped him off with A♣4♦

A K♣3♠2♥T♣9♦ board means we lose Ilavsky in 12th place and Luca is as much as 2,710,000.

Ilavksy's out in 12th

11:15pm: Gala's turn to double with acesLevel 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)

A few hands after losing a large pot to aces, Domenico Gala got a double up with them. Ivan Luca opened from the hijack wih J♣J♦, Gala just called with A♥A♠ from the small blind and Maria Lampropoulos smooth called from the massive blind. At the 8♣2♠8♠ flop Luca c-bet 115,000 and Gala was the one caller.

The 3♦ turn checked through and the T♣ completed the board. Gala checked again and instantly called when Luca jammed for 405,000 He got an entire double as much as 1,300,000, whilst Luca slips to 2,450,000.

11:05pm: Speiser doubles with aces againLevel 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)

Hannes Speiser sure loves aces. He doubled through Andres Viola with them earlier and just repeated the trick in a hand against Domenico Gala.

Gala had A♠Q♠ to Speiser's A♣A♥ and although the A♦T♠5♥T♣Q♣ board hit both players it hit Speiser harder. He was all-in for 575,000 so now has around 1,200,000 whilst Gala is all the way down to about 750,000.

10:56pm: Daniel Rose eliminated in 13th place (€ 6,950)Level 25 - Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)

They say there is a curse of the chip leader and 13 was definitely unlucky for start of day chip boss David Rose as he's just been knocked out in 13th place.

He was right down to just over 400,000 and moved all-in from under-the-gun with K♦Q♣. David Urban re-raised with A♣K♥ and everybody else folded. The A♠5♥2♦6♠Q♥ board meant the dominating hand-held and Rose was sent to the rail. Meanwhile Urban is as much as 1,500,000.

10:05pm: Big double for SiemundLevel 24 - Blinds 15,000/30,000 (4,000 ante)

On the general hand before the players went on a 45-minute dinner break there has been a large hand between Peter Siemund and Hannes Speiser on the outer table

The former moved all-in from the cutoff for 538,000 with 2♦2♠ and Hannes Speiser put him in peril holidng ace-king. The T♠7♣5♦T♣8♥ board kept the ducks in front and Speiser drops to around 650,000 whilst Siemund is as much as 1,150,000.

9:58pm: Fabian Schaack eliminated in 14th Place (€6,280)Level 24 - Blinds 15,000/30,000 (4,000 ante)

Live and die at the river...

After Stoyan Stefanov opened to 60,000, Fabian Schaack moved all-in for approximately 500,000 from the small blind. Mick Heder was within the big blind and he re-shoved, forcing Stefanov to fold.

Heder: A♦J♠Schaack: A♣Q♦

The T♣8♠3♠6♠J♣ board meant Heder hit his kicker at the river to send Schaack out in 14th. Heder is as much as 1,650,000 after that hand.

Wyraz: A♦Q♥Urban: 7♦7♠

A K♣J♦6♠ flop gave Wyraz a gutshot to compliment his overcards but he missed the J♠ turn and 4♠ river. Urban is now as much as 1,400,000.

9:20pm: Aces cracked...againLevel 24 - Blinds 15,000/30,000 (4,000 ante)

We've seen a large number of aces getting crack today and Daniel Rose was the newest victim. Mick Heder shoved from the cutoff for 484,000 with [KdJ♥ and Rose called from the small blind with A♣A♦.

The T♥7♣5♥2♥3♥ board made Heder a flush and saw Rose let loose a stream of expletives. He's all the way down to 350,000 whilst Heder is as much as 1,020,000.

At the similar time this happened Patrick Wolff was eliminated on the feature table meaning we're right down to 16 players. They'll be a brief break whilst they redraw the general 16 and arrange the brand new feature table.

In Wolff's exit hand he shoved for 177,000 with A♥J♠ from the hijack and Rene Kodlin called with Q♣Q♠ at the button. A 9♦K♥6♦4♠2♥ board kept Kodlin in front.

9:17pm: Oliver Heppchen eliminated in 18th placeLevel 24 - Blinds 15,000/30,000 (4,000 ante)

Down to only 236,000 Oliver Heppchen moved all-in from under-the-gun with A♦6♣. He picked up a choice from Ivan Luca and the Argentinian had him dominated with A♣J♦.

The K♠5♦2♠K♥Q♦ board kept Luca in front and he's as much as 2,200,000 now.

9:15pm: Big hands, small potLevel 24 - Blinds 15,000/30,000 (4,000 ante)

This pot could've played out such a lot differently and it most cases would've been an enormous pot.

From under-the-gun Daniel Rose raised to 75,000, Maria Lampropoulos smooth called from the cutoff and Robert Kokoska came along from the large blind.

The flop was a delectable looking Q♥T♦A♥, the action was checked to Lampropoulos and her bet of 100,000 was enough to win the pot. Rose showed K♠K♣ as he folded and Lampropoulos opened A♣K♦ as she took the pot.

She's as much as 2,175,000, whilst Rose drops to 800,000.

9:05pm: Stefanov on a surgeLevel 24 - Blinds 15,000/30,000 (4,000 ante)

A short while ago Stoyan Stefanov had a sub 10 big blind stack. Now he's got almost 2,000,0000!

A big pot against ivan Luca gave the largest boost to his stack. By thte time the 2 of them reached the river of a 9♦8♦8♥J♠A♦ river there has been around 340,000 within the middle. The Argentinian checked the action over to Stefanov and he bet 175,000. After somewhat tank time Luca check-raised to 350,000 and Stefanov thought for a short time before calling.

Luca had 8♣6♦ but Stefanov had made a straight with Q♠T♦. Both have about 1,900,000 now.

8:50pm: Speiser doubles with acesLevel 23 - Blinds 12,000/24,000 (3,000 ante)

Andres Viola opend to 50,000 from the button and Hannes Speiser shoved all-in for 525,000 from the massive blind. "Count please," said Viola. "If it's lower than 30 big blinds I'm calling."

It was and he did:

Speiser: A♦A♠Viola: T♥T♦

The 8♠5♥7♥9♣4♠ board kept the aces in front and Speiser doubled to 1,100,000 whilst Viola slips to 320,000.

8:40pm: Stoyan Stefanov doubles through Ivan LucaLevel 23 - Blinds 12,000/24,000 (3,000 ante)

Is there a chink in Ivan Luca's armory? He just lost a pot to double up Stoyan Stefanov to lose slightly under 12 big blinds.

Luca opened to 48,000 from the hijack with Q♣T♣ and Stefanov shoved for 287,000 total with A♣J♥. It folded back to Luca and he thought for approximately 90 seconds before calling.

The 4♦5♠K♣J♦6♥ board favoured Stefanov and he doubled to around 600,000. Luca still has lots though, about 2,300,000 to be precise.

8:35pm: Martin Kristeller's aces cracked; out in 19thLevel 23 - Blinds 12,000/24,000 (3,000 ante)

What goes around comes around, I ASSUME. Earlier today Martin Kristeller cracked kings with 9♦7♦ and he's just had his aces cracked to exit the tournament in 19th place.

Pre-flop Robert Kokoska opened to 50,000, Kristeller three-bet to 130,000 and Kokoska smooth called. At the J♠3♥9♠ flop Kokoska checked to Kristeller, he bet 160,000, Kokoska check-raised to 325,000 total, Kristeller moved all-in for around 800,000 and Kokoska called.

Kristeller: A♠A♣Kokoska: K♠Q♠

The 7♠ completed Kokoska's flush and the meaningless 4♥ fell at the river. The stacks were counted down and Kokoska had Kristeller covered. He's as much as 2,350,000 after that hand.

8:25pm: Darius Beres busts in 20thLevel 23 - Blinds 12,000/24,000 (3,000 ante)

Some action!

Dragoslav Timarac opened to 50,000 with A♠J♣ and Darius Beres pushed from the small blind for 217,000 with A♦8♠. Call from Timarac.

The board ran 7♠A♣4♠J♦K♣ to send Beres home with a cheque for €4,960 and boost Timarac's stack to 770,000.

8:15pm: All quiet at the outer tablesLevel 23 - Blinds 12,000/24,000 (3,000 ante)

Nothing much to report within the way of action from the outer tables. There has been a flurry of action within the opening four levels, however the pace of play has slowed during level 23.

8pm: Karol Radomski eliminated in 21st placeLevel 23 - Blinds 12,000/24,000 (3,000 ante)

It took about ten minutes into level 23 before we had any significant action but if we did it ended in an exit.

Martin Kristeller opened to 35,000 from the cutoff, Karol Radomski then moved all-in from the button for 56,000 total. Maria Lampropoulos and Hannes Speiser both called from the blinds and Kristeller installed the additional to create a four-way pot.

The three active players checked down the 6♦T♥Q♠4♦Q♥ board, Radomski had A♣J♥ but Kristeller's pocket sevens were the most productive hand and Radomski was eliminated.

Poker Hand of the Week: 8/26/16NO Deposit bonus $43

Give us your opinion within the comments section below on your chance at winning a six-month Card Player magazine digital subscription.

Ask any group of poker players the way you played your hand and they’ll get a hold of dozens of various opinions. That’s just the character of the game.

Each week, Card Player will select a hand from the high-stakes, big buy-in poker world, break it down and show that there’s a couple of solution to get the job done.

The Scenario

You are heads-up for a big high roller title. An initial field of 102 was whittled right down to two, and also you are actually guaranteed a minimum of €903,600 from an initial €50,000 investment, however the winner will earn €1,300,300.

You began heads-up play essentially tied in chips together with your opponent, who's an effective high-stakes regular, but within the 14 hands because you have pulled away with a 4:1 chip lead. With the blinds at 100,000-200,000 with a 25,000 ante, your stack of 20,775,000 is worth 103 big blinds. Your opponent has 4,725,000.

Your opponent limps in from the button and also you check your option with QHeart Suit4Spade Suit within the big blind. The flop comes down 8Heart Suit7Heart Suit5Heart Suit and also you check. Your opponent bets 300,000 and also you call along with your flush draw and gutshot straight draw.

The turn is the 6Spade Suit, supplying you with the ground end of a straight. You check and your opponent bets 625,000. You call and the river is the 6Heart Suit, supplying you with a queen-high flush. There's 2,300,000 currently within the pot.

The Questions

Do you check or bet? If betting, how much? Given your opponent’s line, how likely are you to have the most efficient hand? Could your opponent have a greater flush or perhaps a full house, or was he betting a straight at the turn? If he did just have a straight, how likely is he to name a river bet? What is going to you do in case your river bet is raised? In the event you check, how big of a raffle would you call?

What Actually Happened

Fedor HolzAt the 2016 EPT Barcelona high roller event, Fedor Holz was holding QHeart Suit4Spade Suit on a board of 8Heart Suit7Heart Suit5Heart Suit6Spade Suit6Heart Suit. Despite having a passive line inside the hand, Holz opted to bet 625,000 at the river, the same quantity his opponent bet at the turn.

Sam Greenwood called the bet relatively quickly, but could only show disgust as he revealed 9Diamond Suit7Spade Suit for the turned nine-high straight.

On the very next hand, Greenwood lost the remainder of his stack to Holz, who claimed his sixth title of the year at the side of the €1,300,300 first-place prize. Holz has now essentially locked up the cardboard Player Player of the Year title with 6,758 points and $15,988,834 in earnings.

Here's how we're told it's going to work:

The All-Star showdown will function similar to the SuperStar Showdowns of old. Players will face off heads-up on four simultaneous tables. Within the old days, the matches lasted for 2,500 hands. Now, the matches will continue until some of the players goes broke. The players will begin their matches with 1,000 big blinds. If the match isn't finished by the 3,000th hand, the blinds will double.

The All-Star Showdown is scheduled to start out Saturday and continue through Sunday November 4th. There'll be one match each day except October 30th and November 1st. Each match will begin at noon ET (18:00 CET). We're told the brackets and dates for every match could be ready this Friday.

In the meantime, let the guessing begin on who will fill within the last two spots within the bracket. Who do you're thinking that it will likely be? Should you use Twitter, tell us at our account @PokerStarsBlog.
