Danske Spil selects Magnet Gaming online slotsALL COUNTRIES CAN PLAY @ ATLANTIS GOLD CASINO!
panthercasino.com sport betting and casino

Slots provider Magnet Gaming has signed a deal to supply its innovative games to the casino websites of Denmark’s biggest operator, Danske Spil.

An initial roll-out of eight slots, including the popular titles Diamond Express, Golden Pyramid, and Bank Walt, has now taken place.

A further eight games currently in production will go live in the coming months, courtesy of Magnet’s in-house design team.

Head of game licensing, Thomas Nielsen, said: “Supplying Danske Spil with our products is a real stamp of approval for us and we’re delighted to have reached an agreement.

“As we’ve seen elsewhere, our games are really appealing to casual, small-stake gamers, and we’re sure they will go down well on the big stage too.

“We’re also confident they will have resonance in other regulated markets around the world, where sociable casino players are currently under-served by the offering of many operators.”

Søren Schneider, Danske Spil’s head of product, poker, casino and games, said: “We’ve seen how Magnet Gaming’s real money slots have already attracted a lot of fans in the market, and we’re excited about offering their games to our players too. I’m sure they will be really entertained by them.”

Brazil Outlaws Internet Poker in PublicALL COUNTRIES CAN PLAY @ ATLANTIS GOLD CASINO!
panthercasino.com sport betting and casino

BrazilBrazil has a long and complicated history when it comes to gambling in general and poker in particular. The latest development, according to an article published on CardsChat*, the country has passed a law banning the playing of online poker in public. Anyone caught using their mobile device to access an online poker site while in a public space now faces a stiff fine and, in certain cases, potentially a short jail sentence.

At first glance, it may seems surprising that the Brazilian government would clamp down in this way, given that the overall trend seems to have been towards increased acceptance. Although it’s illegal to operate a poker website out of Brazil, no attempt has been made to prevent foreign sites from accepting Brazilian customers. In 2011, the country declared poker to be a game of skill, and poker tournaments to be akin to sporting events, thus exempting poker from the country’s blanket ban on gambling; among other things, this has led to the rise of the Brazil Series of Poker (BSOP) and this year’s hosting of the Latin American Poker Tour (LAPT) Grand Final in Sao Paulo.

The government has also been promising that it is working towards regulated online poker, but with the caveat that such legislation will take years to iron out. Given that seemingly positive attitude towards poker, it might seem surprising to some that the government would restrict and punish online players with such a law.

ESPT6: Jose Carlos Garcia captures lead to conclude Day 2 of Estrellas MainALL COUNTRIES CAN PLAY @ ATLANTIS GOLD CASINO!
panthercasino.com sport betting and casino

A long Day 2 has come to a close in the Estrellas Barcelona Main Event, a day that saw the 984 returners play all of the way down to 98 players. Jose Carlos Garcia, who has been collecting deep finishes all over the tour this year, grabbed the chip lead during the late afternoon today, and by night's end still had the biggest stack in the room with 3,752,000.

ESPT_Barcelona-502_Jose Carlos Garcia.jpg

Jose Carlos Garcia

After a head-spinning first three hours in which 500 players were eliminated, the day's fourth hour was especially slow as the bubble and hand-for-hand play inched along lengthily until at last the money was reached.

At that point Team PokerStars Pro Online Liliya Novikova had chipped up into the lead with 487 players left, though soon she and everyone else saw Jose Carlos Garcia -- one of several young poker phenoms from Poland -- surge ahead of all and into the chip lead as the field winnowed further. Novikova would slip during the night's latter levels but still make it through with 671,000, a bit better off than the lone surviving member of Team PokerStars Pro, Andre Akkari, who ended with 325,000.

Some late drama at Nikolay Fal's table during one of the day's final hands appeared as though it might result in Garcia losing his chip lead. Up against two opponents he had outchipped, Fal made it to the turn on an A-2-7-K board at which point the stacks went in. One showed a set of deuces, the other a set of sevens, and Fal two kings for a turned best set. His hand held, and after bagging time arrived it was found he had 3,302,000.

John Forst (3.08 million), Mario Lopez (2.455 million), and Daniel Selles (2.413 million) also sealed away massive stacks at the end of play.

Mario Lopez

Also still in contention are Jude Ainsworth (1.6 million), Hugo Pingray (1.092 million), Peter Trapley (849,000), Sebastien Sabic (801,000), Scott Montgomery (792,000), Dermot Blain (704,000), and Joao Barbosa (290,000) likewise finished still in contention. Click here for a full list of chip counts for the remaining 98 players.

To perform a quick sweep of the other late action before we sign off, the Barcelona Cup's Flight 1F -- the sixth and last starting flight for the event -- still occupied most of the middle portion of the poker room at our last check, with 460 players out of a starting field of 1,162 continuing their battle to join the other flights' survivors for tomorrow's Day 2.

Meanwhile on the room's other side three other events were in action as the Estrellas Main Event wound down for the day.

Both the Women's Event and the Seniors Event were down to about two dozen players each. The Seniors drew 164 players to build a bigger prize pool of €159,080 with €39,990 due the champ. That one will finish out during a second day tomorrow.

The Women's drew 148 players, creating a prize pool of €28,712 with €6,890 up top. They'll be playing down to a winner later tonight.

General View-Ladies Event-ESPT-Barcelona--1586.jpg

The Women's event continues

And in the far corner, the €5K Hyperturbo satellite to the already begun Super High Roller -- that "reverse freeroll" (so to speak) -- was still in progress at last look. They drew 43 players with 12 re-entries, with the event thus awarding SHR seats to the final five finishers.

Come back mañana as Day 3 of the Estrellas Main picks back up at 12 noon CET, with Day 2 of the €50K Super High Roller starting a half-hour later and a host of other side action playing out as well including the €2K Estrellas High Roller.

Until then, buenos noches!

In search of a SpadieALL COUNTRIES CAN PLAY @ ATLANTIS GOLD CASINO!
panthercasino.com sport betting and casino

I am used to traveling but this year has been particularly busy for me and so I haven't found the time to blog. It's the end of the year now and I will be just playing two more live tournaments. I'll first be heading to PokerStars LIVE Macau in November for the 2015 Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP), the biggest tournament in Asia, followed by the IPC, the biggest tournament series in India, in December.

Aditya Agarwal_ACOP.jpg

This year I have been travelling the Asian circuit and have loved every moment of being a PokerStars Team Pro. It has always been my goal to popularise poker in India and the way things are going, I feel we are on the right path. Poker is getting huge in India and is just matter of time before it becomes mainstream.

Ready to sign up for PokerStars? Click here to get an account.

So I'm confident for this year's ACOP which runs from October 30 to November 15. It's my second year playing this series and the fact that it draws the world's top pros makes the tournaments that much more prestigious. I've had some deep runs this year but haven't had what I'd consider to be a big result.

However, that's only made me more motivated for a big score and I'll hopefully finish the ACOP with my first Spadie (the nickname for the ACOP Title Event trophies). I'll play as many Spadie events as I can since the events have a great, slow structure which gives me a lot of room to play. The Main Event, in particular, is something I'm really looking forward to as it's a HK$100,000 buy-in (roughly 13k USD) and awards the Gold Spadie.

The other Macau tournaments are fast in comparison to the ACOP and I'd like to think that's a contributing factor to my disappointing results in Macau so far. However, I plan to change all that very soon. I plan to play online a lot and work as much as I can on my MTT game over next couple weeks and hopefully it will pay off. See you guys in Macau.

Las Vegas Gaming Operator Warned by Casino RegulatorsALL COUNTRIES CAN PLAY @ ATLANTIS GOLD CASINO!
panthercasino.com sport betting and casino

Nevada casino gaming authorities told a Las Vegas gambling operator to tighten up or face penalties.

Cherry Red Casino! Las Vegas Gaming Incorporated has about used up its supply of goodwill with Nevada authorities. State regulators warned the casino supplier this week to start demonstrating compliance, or else.

Dennis Neilander, the chairman of the Nevada Gaming Board, made it clear at a hearing he is tired of problems with Las Vegas Gaming. Neilander told listeners he is "at the end of my rope" in regards to the gambling company.

Las Vegas Gaming supplies slot machines and other games to casinos, as well as operating bingo halls. Its operations spread over twelve states and thirty-eight tribal reservations.

The board has had a string of problems with Las Vegas Gaming, especially in regard to conducting background checks of potential employees.

The comments came at a meeting to discuss the licensing of Las Vegas Gaming president and CEO Jon Berkley. Berkley promised the state auditors that changes have been made in company policy to conform to state regulations.

Despite Neilander's warning, Berkley was recommended by the board to receive a license. However, the decision is not official until approved by the entire Gaming Commission considers it, probably by the end of the month.

The 8♣T♣4♥ flop gave Track a flush draw but the 9♥ turn and 5♥ river changed nothing and Track was left with just 955,000. Zisimopoulos doubled to over 8 million and took the chip lead.

1.16pm: All the aces
A crazy first hand! Julian Track opened to 165,000 with A♣A♥ and Frederk Reusch made it 425,000 on the button. Track four-bet to 1,055,000 and Reusch shoved. This or That with Jonathan DuhamelALL COUNTRIES CAN PLAY @ ATLANTIS GOLD CASINO!

The 2013 World Series of Poker is rapidly winding down, but there are still a few events remaining for Team PokerStars Pros to make their mark. Chad Brown and Nacho Barbero are two players who've talked about their Vegas experiences with the PokerStars Blog, and now Jonathan Duhamel, the 2010 WSOP Main Event champ and a member of Team PokerStars Canada, has decided to share as well.

The 2013 WSOP is becoming known as the "Year of the Canadians" as ten bracelets have been awarded to citizens of that country. Duhamel, who has cashed three times at the 2013 WSOP for $36,595 (including a tenth-place finish in Event #25 $5,000 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better), is hoping to become the 11th Canadian to capture a bracelet, which would be his second piece of gold.

In this edition of This or That, which takes a look at both the serious and unserious sides of various Team PokerStars Pros, we caught up with Duhamel, who was playing the $50,000 Poker Players' Championship, to talk about life in Vegas, Canada's recent success and much more.

jonathan_duhamel_wsop_2013.jpg

Duhamel earlier in the series

PokerStars Blog: How is the 2013 WSOP going for you thus far?

Jonathan Duhamel: Well, good and bad. Could be worse, could be better. I have a few cashes, but I don't have any final tables yet. My best score is a tenth place, so I'm looking forward to trying to do better than that.

PSBlog: You're currently the chip leader in the $50,000 Poker Players' Championship.* How does that feel?

JD: It feels amazing, but it's just the start. It's the start of Day 2, so hopefully I'm still going to be the chip leader at the end of the day. It's a fun tournament. All the superstars are here. Definitely feel good so far.

*Duhamel finished Day 2 second in chips behind David Benyamine with 78 players remaining.

PSBlog: What are some things, other than poker, that you like to do while in Las Vegas?

JD: Well, obviously I like to party like all the other kids in Vegas. I just want to chill. I like to play golf, go-karting, stuff like that. Just anything that's going to keep your head off poker for a while.

PSBlog: You went to the Electric Daisy Carnival for the first time this year with fellow Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree. How was that experience?

JD: It was pretty amazing. It was my first time going over there. I'd heard so many good things about it, so definitely it was a lot of fun. I only went on a Friday night and we had a blast, we had a lot of fun.

duhamel_and_boeree_edc.JPG

Duhamel and Boeree at the Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas

PSBlog: Canadians are doing very well at the WSOP this summer. As a Canadian yourself, how do you feel about that?

JD: It feels pretty good. I mean it's fun to see that. It's not that much of a surprise because there are a lot of amazing poker players in Canada, so it's really good to see them doing well and for sure it's going to continue I think.

PSBlog: Do you hang out with any other Team Pros when you're in Vegas?

JD: We try to but we all play all the time so it's kind of tough. We had some go-karting last week that was organized, so for those of us that were available we went. Besides that we have drinks here and there when we have time, but usually we're so busy playing all the time that it's tough.

PSBlog: What's your favorite club in Vegas?

JD: That's a good one. Probably XS [at the Wynn] even though Hakkasan [at MGM] is pretty sick. I think XS it number one.

PSBlog: What are your plans for after the series?

JD: Just going home to relax. It's a big, big grind of six weeks in Vegas. I'm just looking forward to relaxing. It's kind of my vacation going home for a month, five weeks maybe. Just going to play some golf, see my buddies and family and just relax.

PSBlog: Will we see you at the EPT Barcelona?

JD: Absolutely.
